ADS Centronics Interface
Advanced Digital Systems Ltd advertised this hardware as The ultimate in peripherals for the Spectrum, Jupiter ACE & BBC Microcomputers in their half page Popular Computing Weekly advert in 1983.
From the information in the ADS advert they offered 4 packages;
Package 1 (Printer Interface 1) consisted of a ZX Spectrum centronics interface with a 1 meter cable and driver software on tape, package 1 was for the ZX Spectrum market for use with a full centronics printer
Package 2 (Printer Interface 2) consisted of a the same ZX Spectrum centronics interface with a 1 meter cable and driver software on tape, and adapter card for the Jupiter ACE. Package 2 was for the Jupiter ACE market for use with a full centronics printer.
Package 3 (Peripheral Interface 3) consisted of a the ZX / Jupiter ACE adapter card and software supplied on tape for the Jupiter ACE. Package 3 was for the Jupiter ACE market for use with the ZX thermal Printer. Two versions of the driver software were available. One for the unexpanded ACE but would not deal with graphics or user defined graphics. The second driver will run on an expanded ACE and would cope with all graphics.
Package 4 (Peripheral Interface 4) consisted of a the ZX / BBC adapter card and software supplied on tape for the BBC Model B. Package 4 was for the BBC market for use with a ZX thermal Printer.
